Szechuan Chowmein
Ingredients:
- Egg Noodles 1 packet
- Chicken breast (Boneless, cut in long strips) 2
- Salt ½ tsp
- Black Pepper ¼ tsp
- Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
- Corn Flour 1 tbsp
- Carrot (Julienned) 1 cup
- Capsicum (Julienned) 1 cup
- Cabbage (Julienned) 1 cup
- Ginger (Julienned) 2 tbsp
- Garlic (Crushed) 1 tsp
- Spring Onion Leaves 1 cup
- Oil 1 cup
- Soy Sauce 3 tbsp
- Vinegar 2 tbsp
- Sugar 1 tbsp
- Szechuan Sauce 1 tbsp
- Chili Sauce 1 tbsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Black Pepper ½ tsp
- Red Chilies (Crushed) 1 tsp
Method for Chicken:
- Marinate chicken strips with salt, black pepper, corn flour, soy sauce for 10 minutes.Shallow fry and remove. Heat 3 tbsp oil, and to it add chopped ginger and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute.Add cabbage, carrot and capsicum. Fry on high flame for 2 minutes and remove. Keep aside.
Method for Sauce:
- Mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a pan and cook.Fold in the boiled noodles, chicken and vegetables.Mix well and serve.
