DAAL GOSHT


Ingredients:
  • Mutton (Boiled) ½ kg
  • Tomato (Blended, strained) ½ kg
  • Onion (Chopped) 1
  • Coriander Seeds (Roasted, ground) 1½ tsp
  • White Cumin Seeds (Roasted, ground) 2 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Red Chilies 3 tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Green Gram ½ cup
  • Red Lentils ½ cup
  • Bengal Gram 1 cup
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
Ingredients for Tempering:
  • Clarified Butter ¼ cup
  • Button Red Chilies 10
  • White Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
  • Curry Leaves 25
Method:
  • Boil all the lentils together with raw onion until done.Remove and blend. Heat ¾ cup oil and put 1 tbsp mixed whole spices with blended tomatoes and 1 tsp chili powder. Let this cook for 10 minutes. Add ginger garlic paste, roasted and grinded coriander and cumin. Fry well. Add boiled mutton and 2 cups water. Cook till boiling. Add blended lentils with a few whole green chilies. Temper the dish.Garnish with coriander and mint leaves.Serve with rice.
