Coffee Crumble Cake
Ingredients for Cake:
- Butter 100 g
- Brown Sugar 8 oz.
- Caster Sugar ½ cup
- Eggs 3
- Flour 2 cups
- Baking Powder ½ tsp
- Baking Soda ½ tsp
- Cinnamon 1 tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Buttermilk 1 cup
- Vanilla Essence 1 tsp
- Apple (Peeled, chopped) 2 cups
Ingredients for Crumble Topping:
Method:
- Grease a 9 by 9 inch square pan.Beat butter and sugar till creamy. Add egg, one at a time alternating with flour and buttermilk. Add vanilla essence. Fold in apples. Spread mixtures in a pan topped with crumbles and bake at 180 C for 45 minutes.
Method for Crumble:
- Mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg powder and pinch of salt in a bowl.Mix in melted butter with your hands to form crumbs. Sprinkle crumble over the batter and bake.
