LASAGNE WITH A TWIST

Ingredients:

  • Chicken (Minced) ½ kg
  • Onion (Chopped) 1 cup
  • Garlic (Crushed) 1 tbsp
  • Tomato (Peeled) 1 can
  • Tomato Puree ½ cup
  • Brown Sugar 2 tbsp
  • Cajun Seasoning 2 tsp
  • Oregano Leaves 2 tsp
  • Red Chilies (Crushed) 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Cream Cheese 1 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Coriander (Chopped) 4 tbsp
  • Cheddar Cheese (Grated) 1 cup
  • Mozzarella Cheese (Grated) ½ cup
  • Lasagna Strips (Boiled) 8 to 10
  • Oil As required
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, and add onion and garlic along with the chicken mince.Add all the spices, tomatoes and tomato puree. Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Keep aside. Mix cream cheese with egg and keep aside. Grease a pyrex dish and spread some meat sauce at the base.Then spread the lasagna strips. On top of this apply the cream cheese mixture. Cover with mozzarella cheese. Restart the layering process.Sprinkle with oregano leaves. Bake at 180 C for 20 minutes. Serve hot.
