CHOCOLATE ORANGE BUNS


Ingredients for dough:
  • Flour 4 cups
  • Cocoa powder 1 tbsp
  • Caster sugar ½ cup
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Cinnamon powder ½ tsp
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Chopped glazed cherries ½ cup
  • Raisins 2 tbsp
  • Orange juice 2 tbsp
  • Orange jelly crystals 2 tbsp
  • Instant yeast 2 ½ tsp
  • Milk powder 4 tbsp
  • Luke warm water as required to knead
Ingredients for Filling:
  • Orange marmalade
Ingredients for Glaze:
  • Orange juice ¼ cup
  • Orange marmalade 4 tbsp
METHOD:
  • In a bowl mix flour, cocoa powder, castor sugar, salt, cinnamon powder, oil, chopped glazed cherries, raisins, orange juice, orange jelly crystals, instant yeast, milk powder and make into a soft dough leave to rise for 1 hour. Roll out the dough brush with melted butter spread with orange marmalade and roll like a swiss roll. Cut in pieces put in a cup cake tray cover and leave to rise for 30mins. Bake on 180 C for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove and brush with glaze.
