Qabuli Biryani


Ingredients:
  • Gram Lentil 250 gm
  • Rice ½ kg
  • All Spices 1 tsp
  • Black Cumin ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Khewra 1 tsp
  • Lemon Juice 2 tbsp
  • Green Chilies 4
  • Brown Onions ½ cup
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Milk ½ cup
  • Saffron ½ tsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Green Coriander/ Mint LEaves as required
  • All Spice Powder ½ tsp
Method:
  • Soak gram lentil and rice for ½ an hour.Add in salt, all spice, cumin in rice and boil.Heat oil and in brown onion, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp, red chili, turmeric and cook.Add in beaten yogurt and boiled lentil.Add in green chilies, chopped coriander and all spices.In a pan, layer half rice and lentil’s gravy then layer rice again and add in lemon juice.In the end, milk mixed with saffron. Add brown onion, oil and simmer for 15 mins.
