Apple upside down cake


Ingredients for cake
  • Butter 200 gm
  • Brown sugar 200 gm
  • Self raising flour 200 gm
  • Baking powder ½ tsp heaped
  • Eggs 4
  • Butter milk ½ cup
  • Vanilla 1 tsp
Ingredients for topping
  • Butter 50 gm
  • Brown sugar 5 tbsp
  • Apples 2 peeled and cut into wedges
Method
  • Sieve together the dry ingredients, place a 8 or 9inches round cake pan over heat, melt butter and brown sugar and mixed to dissolved, place the apple wedges over the brown sugar, beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy add eggs 1 at a time, folding in the dry ingredients, alternating with butter milk, pour batter in the prepared pan, bake in 180 degree C for 40 minutes, remove and turn upside down.
