Roast chicken with brown sauce
Ingredients
- Chicken 1 kg cut into 8 pieces
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Onion chopped 3 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp heaped
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Black pepper ½ tsp
- Ketchup 3 tbsp
- Mustard powder ½ tsp
- Fries and boiled vegetables to serve
Method
- Heat oil fry onion light golden, add chicken, roast for 5 minutes, add ginger garlic paste, salt and pepper, cook for 5 minutes, add 1 cup water, cover and cook till chicken nearly done, lastly add chili powder and ketchup, cook till chicken dry.
Ingredients for brown sauce
- Flour 2 tbsp
- Stock 1 cup
- Butter 1 tbsp
- Ketchup 1 tbsp
- Vinegar 1 tbsp
- Wooster sauce 1 tbsp
- Hp sauce 1 tbsp
- Salt and pepper ½ tsp each
Method for brown sauce
- Heat butter add flour with salt, pepper, add stock with ketchup, Wooster sauce, vinegar, hp sauce, cook for 5 minutes till sauce thick, remove. Place chicken in a dish, top with brown sauce, serve with fries and brown vegetables.
