SOYA DAAL

SOYA DAAL


Ingredients:
  • Yellow lentil 1 cup
  • Soya 2 bunches
  • Fenugreek leaves 6
  • Green chilies 6
  • Chopped green coriander 1 bunch
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Big cardamom 3
  • Black peppercorn 6
  • Salt to taste
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Margarine 1 tsp
Method:
  • Wash 1 cup yellow lentil and soak it in warm water. Wash 2 bunches of soya and soak it along with some turmeric. Also wash fenugreek leaves and soak them along with turmeric. Add in 3 tbsp oil in the pan and fry 6 chopped garlic till they are golden brown. Add in some water with 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp red chili powder, 3 big cardamoms and 6 black peppercorns and sauté it. Sauté and cook soya, fenugreek and lentil then add in green chilies and cook it on the low flame. If the lentil does not cook in the same water then add in ½ cup water. Cook it and serve it with chapatti.
