Batata wada


Ingredients
  • Potatoes ½ kg peeled boiled and mashed
  • Green chilies finely chopped 4
  • Onion finely chopped ½ cup
  • Ginger finely chopped 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped 4 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Ingredients for batter
  • Gram flour 1 cup heaped
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Chili powder ½ tsp
  • Oil for frying
Method
  • Boil, peel and mashed potatoes, mix with chopped green chilies, chopped ginger, chopped onion, chili powder ½ tsp, coriander leaves chopped, lemon juice, mix well, divide the mixture into equal portion, make small round balls, make batter with gram flour and water add to it salt and chili powder, dip the potato ball into batter and deep fry till light golden. Remove from oil, serve hot with tamarind and mint chatni.
