Machomo Beef
Ingredients
- Beef undercut ½ kg
- Bay leaf 1
- Potato chopped 1
- Onion chopped 2
- Green chilies sliced 3
- Fresh red chilies chopped 2 – 3
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Ginger (juliennes) 1 piece
- Whole black pepper 1 tsp
- Cloves ½ tsp
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method
- Cut ½ kg undercut into thin long strips, now boil with 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tsp whole black pepper, ½ tsp cloves, 1 bay leaf and 1 chopped onion. Cover and cook for 15 – 20 minutes till beef is tender.Remove beef from pan, shred it well.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok, add 1 chopped onion, chopped ginger, chopped green chilies, chopped garlic and fry till golden brown.Now add shredded beef with salt to taste. Fry well till water dries.
- Now make burgers with shredded chicken mixture or roll using pita bread.Serve hot.
