Machomo Beef


Ingredients
  • Beef undercut ½ kg
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Potato chopped 1
  • Onion chopped 2
  • Green chilies sliced 3
  • Fresh red chilies chopped 2 – 3
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Ginger (juliennes) 1 piece
  • Whole black pepper 1 tsp
  • Cloves ½ tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method
  • Cut ½ kg undercut into thin long strips, now boil with 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tsp whole black pepper, ½ tsp cloves, 1 bay leaf and 1 chopped onion. Cover and cook for 15 – 20 minutes till beef is tender.Remove beef from pan, shred it well.
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok, add 1 chopped onion, chopped ginger, chopped green chilies, chopped garlic and fry till golden brown.Now add shredded beef with salt to taste. Fry well till water dries.
  • Now make burgers with shredded chicken mixture or roll using pita bread.Serve hot.
