Chicken Italian Style


Ingredients for Sauce
  • Butter 50 gm
  • Mozzarella cheese 1 packet
  • Spaghetti ½ packet
  • Milk 300 ml
  • Oregano ½ tsp
  • Thyme ½ tsp
  • Flour 2 – 3 tbsp
Ingredients for Cooking
  • Broccoli 1 flower
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Chicken breast (sliced) 2
  • Parsley ¼ bunch
  • Cream cheese ½ cup
  • Garlic chopped 2 – 3 cloves
  • Black pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method
  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees.Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add 2 – 3 cloves of chopped garlic and 1 chopped onion. Fry well till onion is tender.Add in sliced chicken and fry for 3 – 4 minutes, when the chicken is tender add ½ cup cream cheese, ¼ bunch of chopped parsley, salt to taste and ½ tsp black pepper powder.
  • Boil 1 flower of broccoli for 1 – 2 minutes. Now remove from boiling water and add to the cold water. Keep aside.Heat 50 gm butter in a pan, add 2 – 3 tbsp flour and fry for 1 – 2 minutes.Remove from fire, keep aside to cool for few minutes, then add 300 ml milk.
  • Mix again and put on flame. Add ½ tsp oregano, ½ tsp thyme, a little salt and a little black pepper. Cook till sauce thickens.Remove from fire and keep aside.
  • Arrange chicken pieces in an oven proof dish, top with boiled broccoli and then boiled spaghetti. Now spread prepared sauce on top. Lastly make a layer of grated mozzarella cheese.Bake in a preheated oven on 190 degrees for 12 – 15 minutes.
