Strawberry buckle
Ingredients
- Softened butter ¼ cup
- Granulated sugar ½ cup
- Egg 1
- Flour 1 cup
- Baking powder 1 ½ tsp
- Milk 1/3 cup
- Strawberries frozen 1 ½ cup
Ingredients for topping
- Granulated sugar 1/3 cup
- Flour 1/3 cup
- Butter ¼ cup
- Cinnamon powder ½ tsp
Method
- Beat butter and sugar well, add in egg, beat, stir in sifted flour and baking powder and salt with milk, mix spread in an 8x8 inches pan, spread strawberries over top then spread with topping, and bake on 180 degree C for 45 minutes.
- Method for topping Mix together granulated flour, sugar, butter and cinnamon until crumbly, scatter over strawberries.
