Daal Makhni


Ingredients
  • Whole black lentils 250 gm
  • Butter 50 gm
  • Cream ½ cup
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Green chilies ground 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Whole green chilies 4
  • Coriander leaves ½ bunch
Method
  • In a pan put together 250 gm whole black lentils, ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp salt and 2 tsp ginger garlic paste. Cook over low flame till lentil is tender.Add 2 tbsp green chili paste, ½ bunch of coriander leaves, 4 whole green chilies and ½ cup cream. Mix well and turn the flame off.
  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan, add 50 gm butter, 1 tsp cumin seeds and 4 chopped garlic cloves.Fry well, pour on top of lentils mixture.
