Maithi Malai Matar
 

Ingredients
  • Boiled peas 1 cup
  • Onion grated 1
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Malai ½ cup
  • Milk ¼ cup
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • All spice ½ tsp
  • Sugar ½ tsp
  • White pepper ¼ tsp
  • Dry fenugreek leaves 2 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts ground 2 tbsp
Method
  • Heat ¼ cup oil, add 1 grated onion and cook on low heat till oil separates, do not brown the onion, add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp white pepper, ½ tsp sugar, ½ tsp all spice, 2 tbsp dry fenugreek leaves and ½ cup malai, cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes, add 1 cup boiled peas, add 2 tbsp cashew nut paste and cook for few seconds, lastly add a ¼ cup milk to get thick gravy. Serve hot with puri.
