Lasagna Bolognese
Ingredients for Bolognese Sauce
- Mince ½ kg
- Carrots finely chopped 1
- Mushrooms chopped 4
- Oil ¼ cup
- Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Oregano leaves 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Onion chopped 4 tbsp
- Tomato paste 4 tbsp
Ingredients for Cheese Sauce
- Butter 2 ounce
- Flour 2 ounce
- Lasagna sheets boiled 8
- Milk 1 cup
- Stock 1 cup
- Cheddar cheese ½ cup
- Mustard powder ½ tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Black pepper ½ tsp
Method for Bolognese sauce
- Heat ¼ cup oil, add 4 tbsp onion, fry for few minutes, add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and 1 finely chopped carrots with ½ kg mince, cook for 5 minutes, add 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp crushed pepper, 4 tbsp tomato paste and 1 cup of water, cover and cook till mince tender, boil lasagna sheets, keep aside. Line the base of an oven proof dish with 4 lasagna sheets, top with Bolognese sauce, repeat layer ending with lasagna sheets, pour the cheese sauce over, sprinkle with ½ cup grated cheese, lastly spread 4 chopped mushrooms and 1 tsp oregano leaves on top. Bake for 15 minutes till cheese melts, serve immediately.
- Method for Cheese Sauce ,In a pan put together 2 ounce Butter, 2 ounce Flour, 1 cup Milk, 1 cup Stock, ½ cup Cheddar cheese, ½ tsp Mustard powder, ½ tsp Salt and ½ tsp Black pepper. Cook till thickens.
