Chicken Qorma Masala
Ingredients
- Boneless chicken cubes ½ kg
- Cashew nuts ground 12
- Onion finely chopped 1 cup
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Oil ½ cup
- Salt 1 tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp heaped
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
Ingredients for Onion Paste
- Onion 2 medium
- Garlic 4 flakes
- Ginger ½ inch piece
Method
- Grind together 2 medium onion, 4 cloves of garlic and ½ inch piece of ginger to a smooth paste, heat ½ cup oil, fry 1 cup finely chopped onion till light golden, add ground onion paste, fry till light golden, add ½ kg chicken cubes and cook for 5 minutes, add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp chili powder and ¼ tsp turmeric with ¼ cup water, add 1 cup well beaten yogurt with 12 ground cashew nut paste, cover and cook on low flame till oil comes on top. Lastly add 2 tbsp chopped coriander. Serve with Naan or Paratha.
