Handi Murgh Ginger
Ingredients
- Chicken (cut into 16 pieces) 1 kg
- Onion chopped 1 cup
- Green chilies chopped 4
- Tomatoes chopped 4
- Oil ½ cup
- Salt 1 tsp
- Garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- All spice ½ tsp heaped
- Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
- Ginger finely chopped 2 tbsp
- Chili powder 1 ½ tsp
Method
- In a clay pot put 1 kg chicken, 1 cup chopped onion, 1 tbsp garlic paste, 1 tsp salt, ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 ½ tsp chili powder with ½ cup of water, cook covered on low flame for 15 minutes until chicken half done, add ½ cup oil, fry well for 5 minutes, add 4 finely chopped tomatoes and fry well till oil comes on top, lastly add 4 chopped green chilies, 2 tbsp chopped ginger, ½ tsp all spice and 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.
