Bhopali Seekh Kabab
Ingredients
- Beef mince ½ kg
- Coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp
- Oil ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder ½ tsp
- Cottage cheese grated 3 tbsp
- All spice 1 tsp heaped
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Green chilies finely chopped 1 tbsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Ghee ¼ cup
- Mace ground ½ tsp
- Brown onion ground ½ cups
- Salt 1 tsp heaped
- Poppy seeds (ground into a paste) 2 tbsp
Method
- In a bowl combine ½ kg beef mince, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves, ½ tsp cardamom powder, 3 tbsp grated cottage cheese, 1 tsp all spice, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp chopped green chilies, 1 tsp chili powder, ¼ cup ghee, ½ tsp ground mace, ½ cup ground brown onion, 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp poppy seeds paste and mix well. Keep in fridge for 30 minutes, divide into 12 to 14 equal portions, make into balls, preheat oven 180 degree C, make into Seekh Kabab shape using skewers, bake for 10 to 12 minutes or pan fry in ¼ cup oil, give dum of coal. Serve garnished with onion rings and tomato slices.
