Classic vegetable pulao


Ingredients
  • Boiled rice 1/2kg
  • Peas 1cup
  • Chicken breast 1
  • Potatoes 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Carrots 2
  • Green chilies 6
  • Butter 50g
  • Raisins 100g
  • Black pepper 1tsp
  • Cumin 1tsp
  • Salt 1tsp
  • Oil 4tbsp
  • Chicken stock 4 tbsp
Method
  1. In a skillet melt 50g of butter and fry the chicken fillet pieces until it turns golden brownAdd 1tsp black pepper powder,1/2tsp salt,1tsp cumin,6 green chilies and two glasses of water. Cook on a low flame.When the chicken fillet becomes tender and around one glass of water remains turn the flame off.
  2. In a separate skillet heat 4tbsp of oil .Add 2 chopped potatoes, 2 chopped carrots and 1 cup peas.Fry for 3-4 minutes then add 1/2cup water. When the vegetables are tender add the boiled rice along with 1/2tsp salt and mix well.
  3. Add the cooked chicken pieces along with 100g raisins and chicken stock.Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Classic vegetable pulao is ready to serve.
