Chana Masala


Ingredients
  • Chickpeas 2 cup
  • Onions 2 medium
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Capsicum 1
  • Ground coriander 1 tbsp
  • Ground cumin 2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Ground cumin seeds 2 tsp
  • Dried green mango powder 1 tbsp
  • Hot spices powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves ¼ bunch
  • Tomatoes, chopped small 2 cups
  • Water 2/3 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
Method
  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet.Add 2 onion, 1 clove garlic, 2 tsp ginger and pepper and sauté over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes.
  2. Turn heat down to medium-low and add the coriander, cumin, cayenne, turmeric, cumin seeds, dried green mango powder and hot spices powder.
  3. Cook onion mixture with spiced for a minute or two, and then add the tomatoes. Add the water and chickpeas. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
  4. Then stir in salt and lemon juice.Delicious Chana Masala is ready to serve.
