Chana Masala
Ingredients
- Chickpeas 2 cup
- Onions 2 medium
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
- Capsicum 1
- Ground coriander 1 tbsp
- Ground cumin 2 tsp
- Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1 tsp
- Ground cumin seeds 2 tsp
- Dried green mango powder 1 tbsp
- Hot spices powder 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves ¼ bunch
- Tomatoes, chopped small 2 cups
- Water 2/3 cup
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil 1 tbsp
Method
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet.Add 2 onion, 1 clove garlic, 2 tsp ginger and pepper and sauté over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Turn heat down to medium-low and add the coriander, cumin, cayenne, turmeric, cumin seeds, dried green mango powder and hot spices powder.
- Cook onion mixture with spiced for a minute or two, and then add the tomatoes. Add the water and chickpeas. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Then stir in salt and lemon juice.Delicious Chana Masala is ready to serve.
