Peshawari Biryani

Peshawari Biryani


Ingredients
  • ½ kg boiled meat
  • ½ kg rice
  • ½ kg tomatoes
  • 250 grams boiled white chickpeas
  • 1 cup clarified butter
  • 2 potatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 10 green chilies
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp crushed black pepper
  • 1 tbsp whole hot spices
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
Method
  1. In a pan, heat 1 cup clarified butter and sauté 2 sliced onions in it. Then add ½ kg boiled meat, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and 1 tbsp whole hot spices and stir well on low flame. 
  2. Then add ½ kg tomatoes, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp red chili powder, 250 grams boiled white chickpeas and 2 potatoes and cover the pan to allow cooking on low flame for 15 minutes. 
  3. Then add ½ kg soaked rice and a glass of water. Cook until rice is 1/3 cooked and then add 10 green chilies and 1 tbsp crushed black pepper. 
  4. Allow simmering on low flame for 15 minutes. Delicious Peshawari Biryani is ready to serve.
