Peshawari Biryani
Ingredients
- ½ kg boiled meat
- ½ kg rice
- ½ kg tomatoes
- 250 grams boiled white chickpeas
- 1 cup clarified butter
- 2 potatoes
- 2 onions
- 10 green chilies
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp crushed black pepper
- 1 tbsp whole hot spices
- 2 tsp red chili powder
Method
- In a pan, heat 1 cup clarified butter and sauté 2 sliced onions in it. Then add ½ kg boiled meat, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and 1 tbsp whole hot spices and stir well on low flame.
- Then add ½ kg tomatoes, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp red chili powder, 250 grams boiled white chickpeas and 2 potatoes and cover the pan to allow cooking on low flame for 15 minutes.
- Then add ½ kg soaked rice and a glass of water. Cook until rice is 1/3 cooked and then add 10 green chilies and 1 tbsp crushed black pepper.
- Allow simmering on low flame for 15 minutes. Delicious Peshawari Biryani is ready to serve.
