Cinnamon Rolls


Ingredients
  • Eggs 2
  • Luke warm milk 1 cup
  • Flour 300 grams
  • Flour for coating
  • Salt 1tsp
  • Margarine 1tbsp
  • Yeast 2tbsp
  • Sugar substitute 2tbsp
Filling ingredients
  • Sugar substitute 1cup
  • Walnuts 1 cup
  • Margarine 2tbsp
  • Cinnamon 3tbsp
  • Topping Ingredients:
  • Icing sugar 250 grams
  • Egg white 2
Method
  1. In a large mixing bowl beat 2 eggs sugar substitute and 1 tsp salt. Combine 2 cups of warm milk and 2 tbsp margarine and add to the egg mixture. Slowly add 150grams flour and beat well. 
  2. Add 2 tbsp yeast and mix thoroughly. Add the remaining 150grams flour and mix on a medium speed for 7 minutes. 
  3. Place the dough in an oiled and cover with plastic wrap. Let the dough rise to double its size, about 1 hour.
Filling
  1. Spread 2 tbsp margarine over the dough and sprinkle entire surface with 1 cup sugar substitute, 3 tbsp cinnamon and 1 cup finely chopped walnuts.
  2. Roll the dough into a cylinder shape starting with the bottom edge and then cut into 12 slices. 
  3. Place the slices onto an oiled pan and bake at 250C for 15to20 minutes. Cool and cover with icing.
