Tomato and Dates Dip
Ingredients
- 6 tomatoes
- 10 dates
- 10 whole red chilies
- 1 cup tamarind juice
- ½ cup vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp dry ginger powder
Method
- Boil 6 tomatoes, 10 dates and 10 whole red chilies separately. Peel off the skin of boiled tomatoes and crush with boiled dates and chilies. Allow the mixture to cook on low flame.
- Also add 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp dry ginger powder and 1 cup tamarind juice. Cook until the mixture reaches a thick consistency.
- Take off the flame and add ½ cup vinegar. Tomato and Dates Dip is ready to be served with your meal.
