Tomato and Dates Dip


Ingredients
  • 6 tomatoes
  • 10 dates
  • 10 whole red chilies
  • 1 cup tamarind juice
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp dry ginger powder
Method
  1. Boil 6 tomatoes, 10 dates and 10 whole red chilies separately. Peel off the skin of boiled tomatoes and crush with boiled dates and chilies. Allow the mixture to cook on low flame. 
  2. Also add 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp dry ginger powder and 1 cup tamarind juice. Cook until the mixture reaches a thick consistency. 
  3. Take off the flame and add ½ cup vinegar. Tomato and Dates Dip is ready to be served with your meal.
