Gulatti


Ingredients
  • ½ kg boiled rice
  • 250 grams clarified butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 cardamoms
  • 50 grams almonds
  • 50 grams cashew nuts
  • 50 grams raisins
  • 375 grams whole dried milk
  • 1 tbsp rose water
  • Gulab Jaman as required
Method
  1. In a cooking pot, heat 2 tbsp clarified butter. Then add 375 grams whole dried milk and stir together until it turns golden brown. In another cooking pot, add remaining clarified butter and 4 cardamoms.
  2. When it becomes fragrant, add 2 cups of sugar and a cup of water. Cook until the mixture reaches consistency of thick syrup. Now add ½ kg boiled rice and allow simmering for half an hour on low flame. 
  3. Then turn off the flame and add Gulab Jaman as desired, whole dried milk, 1 tbsp rose water, 50 grams almonds, 50 grams cashew nuts and 50 grams raisins. Delicious Gulatti is ready to serve.
