Fish and Mango Curry
Ingredients
- 1 kg fish
- 1 cup crushed onion
- 2 raw mangoes
- 4 green chilies
- ½ bunch fresh coriander
- ½ cup oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
- 1 tsp curry leaves
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp heng
Method
- Marinate 1 kg fish with ½ tsp salt and keep aside for half an hour. Then wash fish properly and put in a separate bowl. Add 2 glasses of water and ½ tsp heng to it and leave for an hour. In a wok, heat ½ cup oil and add 1 tsp fenugreek seeds and 1 tsp curry leaves and stir.
- When spices are fragrant, add 1 cup crushed onion, 2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 2 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp salt, 2 tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp ground cumin and stir well. Then add 2 glasses of water and 2 chopped raw mangoes.
- Allow cooking on medium flame for half an hour without putting on the lid. Now add the fish and cook for a couple of minutes.
- Add ½ bunch chopped fresh coriander and 4 green chilies in the end and turn off the flame. Delicious Fish and Mango Curry is ready to serve.
