Fish and Mango Curry


Ingredients
  • 1 kg fish
  • 1 cup crushed onion
  • 2 raw mangoes
  • 4 green chilies
  • ½ bunch fresh coriander
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp curry leaves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp heng
Method
  1. Marinate 1 kg fish with ½ tsp salt and keep aside for half an hour. Then wash fish properly and put in a separate bowl. Add 2 glasses of water and ½ tsp heng to it and leave for an hour. In a wok, heat ½ cup oil and add 1 tsp fenugreek seeds and 1 tsp curry leaves and stir. 
  2. When spices are fragrant, add 1 cup crushed onion, 2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 2 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp salt, 2 tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp ground cumin and stir well. Then add 2 glasses of water and 2 chopped raw mangoes.
  3. Allow cooking on medium flame for half an hour without putting on the lid. Now add the fish and cook for a couple of minutes. 
  4. Add ½ bunch chopped fresh coriander and 4 green chilies in the end and turn off the flame. Delicious Fish and Mango Curry is ready to serve.
