Dum Ki Machli


Ingredients
  • Boneless fish cubes ½ kg
  • Onion chopped 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Cumin roasted & crushed 1 ½ tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 ½ tsp
  • All spice ½ tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilies 2
  • Kewra water 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds ¼ tsp
  • Mustard seeds ¾ tsp
  • Yogurt whipped 1 cup
  • Oil ½ cup
Method
  1. Soak 2 kashmiri red chilies in water and grind into thick paste. Heat ½ cup oil, add ¾ tsp mustard seeds and ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds. Add 1 cup onion and fry till light golden, add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 ½ tsp salt, kashmiri chilies paste and 1 ½ tsp cumin seeds, fry well, add 1 cup yogurt, and fry for 5 minutes, add ½ kg fish cubes, cover and cook for 10 minutes, lastly add ½ tsp all spice powder, 1 tsp kewra water and serve with paratha.
