Dum Ki Machli
Ingredients
- Boneless fish cubes ½ kg
- Onion chopped 1 cup
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Cumin roasted & crushed 1 ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1 ½ tsp
- All spice ½ tsp
- Kashmiri red chilies 2
- Kewra water 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds ¾ tsp
- Yogurt whipped 1 cup
- Oil ½ cup
Method
- Soak 2 kashmiri red chilies in water and grind into thick paste. Heat ½ cup oil, add ¾ tsp mustard seeds and ¼ tsp fenugreek seeds. Add 1 cup onion and fry till light golden, add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp chili powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, 1 ½ tsp salt, kashmiri chilies paste and 1 ½ tsp cumin seeds, fry well, add 1 cup yogurt, and fry for 5 minutes, add ½ kg fish cubes, cover and cook for 10 minutes, lastly add ½ tsp all spice powder, 1 tsp kewra water and serve with paratha.
