Banarsi Kebab


Ingredients
  • 1 kg meat
  • 250 grams onions
  • 250 grams yogurt
  • 250 grams potatoes
  • 250 grams tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp hot spices powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp green chili paste
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp nutmeg, mace
  • 2 tbsp papaya paste
Method
  1. Mix 1 kg meat with 250 grams yogurt, 1 cup tomato sauce, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp hot spices powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp green chili paste, 2 tsp red chili powder, 2 tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp nutmeg, mace and 2 tbsp papaya paste. 
  2. Leave to marinate for 2 hours. Now take an oven proof dish and make a layer of marinated meat. Then place 250 grams potatoes and tomatoes each cut into cubes and 250 grams diced onions. 
  3. Pour ½ cup oil on the top and cover the dish with an aluminum foil. Bake in a pre heated oven at 200 c for 45 minutes. Banarsi Kebabs are ready.
