Banarsi Kebab
Ingredients
- 1 kg meat
- 250 grams onions
- 250 grams yogurt
- 250 grams potatoes
- 250 grams tomatoes
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- ½ cup oil
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp hot spices powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp green chili paste
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- ½ tsp nutmeg, mace
- 2 tbsp papaya paste
Method
- Mix 1 kg meat with 250 grams yogurt, 1 cup tomato sauce, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp hot spices powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp green chili paste, 2 tsp red chili powder, 2 tsp cumin seeds, ½ tsp nutmeg, mace and 2 tbsp papaya paste.
- Leave to marinate for 2 hours. Now take an oven proof dish and make a layer of marinated meat. Then place 250 grams potatoes and tomatoes each cut into cubes and 250 grams diced onions.
- Pour ½ cup oil on the top and cover the dish with an aluminum foil. Bake in a pre heated oven at 200 c for 45 minutes. Banarsi Kebabs are ready.
