Sandwiched Shahi Tukry


Ingredients
  • Bread 8 slices
  • Water 2 cups + 2 cups
  • Powder milk 2 cups
  • Rubbri 250 gm
  • Cream (to drizzle) ½ cup
  • Sugar 1 ½ cup
  • Saffron ½ tsp
  • Almonds and pistachio sliced 4 tbsp
Method
  1. Remove corners of 8 bread slices, cut each into rounds with cookie cutter, deep fry in ghee till light golden. Remove, cool and sandwiched them with 250gm rubbri, cook 1 ½ cup sugar with water till 1 tar thick, soak sandwiched bread in this syrup for 15 minutes.
  2. In a pan dissolve 2 cups powdered milk and ½ tsp saffron in 2 cups water, cook all together till thick, add this milk to the bread and leave it for 30 minutes.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes on 180 degrees, sprinkle with 4 tbsp almonds and pistachio, drizzle ½ cup cream on top. Serve warm.
