Sajna Phalli & Aaloo Ka Qorma


Ingredients
  • Drumsticks (cut in 3 inch pieces) 6
  • Onion sliced 2
  • Potato (cut in cubes) 2
  • Tomatoes chopped 2
  • Green chilies 10
  • Curry leaves 15 to 20
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp heaped
  • Poppy seeds 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp heaped
  • Coconut 1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves 3 tbsp
  • Yogurt 4 tbsp
  • Oil ¼ cup
Ingredients for Garnishing
  • Green chilies chopped 4
  • Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
Method
  1. Grind together 1 tbsp coconut, 1 tsp poppy seeds, 10 green chilies and 3 tbsp coriander leaves very finely with little water, keep aside. Heat ¼ cup oil, add 2 sliced onions, sauté till light golden in color, now add 15 to 20 curry leaves and fry. 
  2. Then add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste with 1 tsp salt, ground Masala, 2 chopped tomatoes and 4 tbsp yogurt, fry well till oil comes on top. 
  3. Add 2 potatoes cut into cubes with 1 cup of water, cover and simmer till nearly done, add 6 drumsticks, cover and cook over low flame for 15 minutes.
  4. Before removing from fire add 2 tbsp coriander leaves and 4 green chilies.
