Prawn Chili Sauce


Ingredients
  • ½ kg prawns
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 10 to 12 whole red chilies
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 4 tbsp Worchester sauce
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste
Method
  1. Boil 10 to 12 whole red chilies and blend with some water. Finely slice 1 capsicum, 1 carrot, 1 onion, 1 spring onion, 1 tomato and 6 cloves of garlic. In some hot oil, sauté ½ kg prawns. In a wok, add 4 tbsp oil and fry sliced garlic until it turns golden brown. 
  2. Then add chili paste, 4 tbsp Worchester sauce and all chopped vegetables and stir together for 2 to 3 minutes. Also add a cup of water stir together on high flame for 4 to 5 minutes. 
  3. When water begins to evaporate, decrease the flame and add sautéed prawns. Thicken the mixture with corn flour dissolves in some water. 
  4. When Prawn Chili Sauce reaches desired consistency, it is ready to serve.
