Prawn Chili Sauce
Ingredients
- ½ kg prawns
- 1 cup water
- 1 capsicum
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 1 spring onion
- 1 tomato
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 10 to 12 whole red chilies
- 1 tbsp corn flour
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 4 tbsp Worchester sauce
- 4 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Method
- Boil 10 to 12 whole red chilies and blend with some water. Finely slice 1 capsicum, 1 carrot, 1 onion, 1 spring onion, 1 tomato and 6 cloves of garlic. In some hot oil, sauté ½ kg prawns. In a wok, add 4 tbsp oil and fry sliced garlic until it turns golden brown.
- Then add chili paste, 4 tbsp Worchester sauce and all chopped vegetables and stir together for 2 to 3 minutes. Also add a cup of water stir together on high flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
- When water begins to evaporate, decrease the flame and add sautéed prawns. Thicken the mixture with corn flour dissolves in some water.
- When Prawn Chili Sauce reaches desired consistency, it is ready to serve.
