South African Pulao
Ingredients
- 300 grams rice
- 300 grams mince meat
- 200 grams boiled peas
- 100 grams masoor ki daal
- 1 onion
- 2 boiled potatoes
- 4 aniseeds
- 4 green chilies
- 6 to 8 dry red chilies
- ½ cup clarified butter
- 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- Water as required
- Salt to taste
Method
- Heat ½ cup clarified butter and sauté an onion until it is transparent. Then add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and stir together. When the color is brown, add 300 grams mince meat, 4 green chilies, 6 to 8 dry red chilies, 4 aniseeds and salt to taste and stir it for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add 2 boiled potatoes, 200 grams boiled peas and 100 grams masoor ki daal and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes. Add ¼ to ½ glass of water in it.
- When the gravy reaches a boiling point, add 300 grams rice in it. When rice is ready, allow simmering for 8 to 10 minutes. Delicious South African Pulao is ready to serve.
