Prawn Masala
Ingredients
- ½ kg prawns
- 3 tomatoes
- ¼ bunch fresh coriander
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 1 medium piece of ginger
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp cumin powder
- 1 tbsp hot spices powder
- 2 tbsp tamarind paste
- 2 tbsp red chili powder
- Oil as required
- Salt to taste
Method
- In a wok, heat oil and sauté /2 kg prawns. When prawns are cooked, keep aside. In a separate wok, stir together 1 medium piece of ginger and 6 cloves of garlic.
- Also add 3 tomatoes, ¼ bunch fresh coriander, 1 tbsp cumin powder, 1 tbsp hot spices powder, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 2 tbsp tamarind paste, 2 tbsp red chili powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder and salt to taste.
- Allow cooking on low flame for 8 to 10 minutes. When all ingredients are well combined, add fried prawns and cook on high flame for 2 to 5 minutes. Delicious Prawn Masala is ready to serve.
