Zafrani Gajrella





Ingredients
  • Milk 4 ½ cups
  • Carrots grated 2 cups
  • Rice ground ½ cup
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Sugar ¾ cup
  • Saffron ¼ tsp
  • Almond / Pistachio Sliced 1 tbsp each
  • Silver paper as required
Method
  1. Grate 2 cups carrots & slightly steam for 5 minutes. In a pan boil 4 ½ cups milk. Add in ½ cup ground rice & carrots, cook till both tender. Add in ¾ cup sugar & cook till thick. 
  2. Add 1 tsp cardamom powder, ¼ tsp saffron, cool slightly, put in a serving bowl. Garnished with Almond, pistachio & silver paper.
