Zafrani Gajrella
Ingredients
- Milk 4 ½ cups
- Carrots grated 2 cups
- Rice ground ½ cup
- Cardamom powder 1 tsp
- Sugar ¾ cup
- Saffron ¼ tsp
- Almond / Pistachio Sliced 1 tbsp each
- Silver paper as required
Method
- Grate 2 cups carrots & slightly steam for 5 minutes. In a pan boil 4 ½ cups milk. Add in ½ cup ground rice & carrots, cook till both tender. Add in ¾ cup sugar & cook till thick.
- Add 1 tsp cardamom powder, ¼ tsp saffron, cool slightly, put in a serving bowl. Garnished with Almond, pistachio & silver paper.
