Baked Fish
Ingredients
- Fish fillet 500 gm
- Lemon juice 1
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- White flour ¼ cup
- Dill (chopped) ½ tsp
- Sweet corn ½ tin
- Mushroom 8 to 10 slice
Ingredients for White sauce
- Butter 2 tbsp
- White flour 2 ½ tbsp
- Milk 3 ½ cup
- Salt to taste
- Cheddar cheese 3 tbsp
Method
- Marinate fish with salt, pepper, lemon juice and keep aside for 15 minutes. Coat with flour, dust off any excess flour. Heat oil in a pan add the fish and pan fry till golden. Drain on some kitchen towel.
- Make the white sauce in a pan melt the butter add the flour and cook till fragrant. Whisk in the milk and cook till it thickens slightly. Add grated cheese and season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Grease an ovenproof dish layer the fish add the base topped with mushrooms and corn and then pour over the white sauce. Top with parsley and grated cheese.
- Bake in the oven till cheese is melted and browned on top.
