Lemon Fish


Ingredients
  • ½ kg Boneless fish slices
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  • ½ tsp White pepper
  • ½ tsp Garlic paste
  • ½ tsp Salt
Ingredients for Batter
  • ½ cup Flour
  • ½ tsp Baking powder
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 4 tbsp Corn flour
  • Chilled water as required
  • 1 Egg
Ingredients for lemon sauce
  • 1 Lemon (cut into round slices)
  • Yellow color a pinch
  • Salt a pinch
  • White pepper a pinch
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¼ cup Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
Method
  1. Marinate fish slices with ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp white pepper, ½ tsp garlic paste, 1 tbsp soya sauce and 1 tbsp lemon juice, make batter with ½ cup flour, 4 tbsp corn flour, ½ tsp baking powder, 3 tbsp oil, 1 egg, and chilled water as required, dip marinated fish pieces in batter, deep fry till light golden and crisp, keep aside.
  2. Method for Lemon Sauce, In a pan, put ¼ cup lemon juice, 1 cup water, 3 tbsp sugar, a pinch of yellow color, a pinch of salt and a pinch of white pepper, cook till boiling, thicken sauce with corn flour paste, pour on top of fish, garnish with lemon slices and serve.
