Black Forest Cake


Ingredients
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 ½ cups fine flour
  • 1tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 4 tbsp coffee
Ingredients for filling and topping
  • 1 cup cherry
  • 1cup icing sugar
  • 3 cups of cream
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 200 gm white butter
  • Chocolate bar for garnishing
Ingredients for syrup
  • Water to requirement
  • 2 tbsp coffee
  • 6 tbsp honey
Method
  1. Whisked 6 eggs in a bowl to make a sponge. Now add 2 cup sugar and whisked until alike. Then add 1tsp baking,2 tbsp baking powder and 4tbsp coffee and mixed it well. After that add ½ cup of cocoa powder and mix until alike. 
  2. Now add 2-1/2 cup fine flour and fold it by spoon and make a smooth batter, then pour it in a baking try. Cover the try with aluminum foil and place it in pre-heated oven on 200 degree centigrade. Bake it for 35 minutes and after baking cut it in two halves.
  3. For Syrup: In pan add water 2tbsp coffee and 6tbsp honey and cook over low heat. Then pour the syrup over the halves of the sponge.
  4. For filling and topping:In a mixing bowl add ½ cup cocoa powder, 1 cup icing sugar,3 cup cream and 2oo gm unsalted butter , then mix it well and place in the fridge. 
  5. On chilled place the topping over and both the sides of the sponge generously. Now use the plain cream for the topping design like rounds squares or as u wish, place the cherries. After it use chocolate bar for garnishing and serve the black forest cake.
