Chicken Manchurian


Ingredients
  • 200 grams boneless chicken breast
  • Salt n black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • ¼ cup soya sauce
  • ¼ tsp sesame oil
  • ½ cup tomato ketchup
  • ½ cup tomato puree
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • ¼ tsp red chili flakes
  • ½ tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 green or red chili
  • ½ cup sliced spring onion
Method
  1. Slice 200 grams boneless chicken breast into thin pieces. Marinate with 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, salt n black pepper to taste, 1 tbsp soya sauce and ¼ tsp sesame oil for some time. 
  2. Slice 1 onion, 1 capsicum and 1 carrot into cubes and slice a green or red chili finely. Blench 2 tomatoes, peel the skin and mash into fine puree. 
  3. In a wok, heat a tbsp of oil on high flame. Add marinated chicken to wok and stir fry till chicken is slightly whiter. 
  4. Then add ½ cup tomato ketchup, ½ cup tomato puree, ½ tsp red chili powder, ¼ tsp red chili flakes, ½ tsp brown sugar and 1 tsp white vinegar and mix briefly. 
  5. Continue to stir until mixture is thick. Now add vegetables and stir for a couple of minutes and take off the flame. Serve in a deep platter with fried rice and Chinese sauce.
