Arabic Sheer Khorma
Ingredients
- 200 grams colored vermicelli
- 2 liter milk
- 250 grams sugar
- ¼ tsp saffron color
- 100 grams clarified butter
- 10 almonds
- 10 pistachios
- 10 grams raisins
- 100 grams dates
- 3 small cardamoms
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3 cloves
- Few drops of kewra essence
Method
- In a medium cooking pot, heat 100 grams clarified butter. Then add 2 cinnamon sticks, 3 cloves, 3 cardamoms, 100 grams sliced dates, 10 sliced almonds, 10 sliced pistachios, 10 raisins and 200 grams colored vermicelli. Stir continuously.
- Then add 2 liter milk and cook on medium flame. Meanwhile, add 250 grams sugar, ¼ tsp saffron color and few drops of kewra essence and cook until the mixture begins to boil. Your Arabic Sheer Khorma is ready to serve.
