- 1 cup chickpeas
- ¼ tsp soda
- Salt to taste
Ingredients for chana bhurani
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas
- 1 finely sliced onion
- 2 sliced green chilies
- 2 curry leaves
- ½ bunch sliced coriander
- 100 grams tamarind pulp
- 100 grams boiled potato cubes
- 100 ml oil
- 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp red chili flakes
- ½ tsp crushed coriander
- ½ tsp crushed cumin
- Salt n black pepper
Method
- In a wok, heat 100 ml oil and sauté a tsp ginger garlic paste. Also add 1 finely sliced onion and sauté.
- Then add 2 curry leaves, 1 cup boiled chickpeas, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp crushed coriander, ½ tsp crushed cumin, 100 grams tamarind pulp and salt n black pepper to taste and mix for a couple of minutes.
- Then add 2 finely sliced green chilies, 100 grams boiled potato cubes and ½ bunch finely sliced fresh coriander and mix briefly.
- Take off the flame, garnish with fresh coriander and serve.
