Soak ½ kg basmati rice for half an hour.In a medium cooking pot, heat 100 ml oil.
When oil is heated, add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and cook for a few minutes.Add a medium finely chopped onion and fry till it turns golden brown.
Add 2 cinnamon sticks, ¼ tsp whole black pepper, 3 black cardamom, 3 cloves and ¼ tsp white cumin and cook for a few minutes.Add 2 to 3 cups of water.
When water comes to boil, add soaked rice.Cover the lid and let it cook on a medium flame till water dries up and rice cooks completely.Your Cumin Pulao is ready.
