Cumin Pulao
Ingredients
- ½ kg Basmati rice
- Salt to taste
- 2 sticks Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Whole black pepper
- 3 to 5 Cloves
- 2 Black cardamom
- ¼ tsp White cumin
- 1 Onion (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp Ginger, garlic paste
- 100 ml Oil
Directions- Soak ½ kg basmati rice for half an hour.In a medium cooking pot, heat 100 ml oil.
- When oil is heated, add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and cook for a few minutes.Add a medium finely chopped onion and fry till it turns golden brown.
- Add 2 cinnamon sticks, ¼ tsp whole black pepper, 3 black cardamom, 3 cloves and ¼ tsp white cumin and cook for a few minutes.Add 2 to 3 cups of water.
- When water comes to boil, add soaked rice.Cover the lid and let it cook on a medium flame till water dries up and rice cooks completely.Your Cumin Pulao is ready.
