- 1 cup Khushkhash(poppy seeds)
- 2 cup Milk
- ½ cup Khoya or Dry milk
- 1 cup coconut grated
- 2 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Ghee
- 1 teaspoon Cardamom Powder
- 8 to 10 nos almonds
- 2 tbsp raisins
Directions
- Soak the poppy seeds in water overnight.Next day, wash well and remove the excess water. Put it in a mixer and grind to a soft paste by adding little milk or coconut water now and then. Remove it.
- In a kadahi add ghee and heat it. When it is warm, add the poppy seeds paste and stir well. Stir continuously till the raw smell of the poppy seeds go away and it turns to light brown.
- Add milk and stir continuously till the paste absorbs all the milk and the paste is thick. Add khoya or Dry milk along with sugar and coconut.
- Stir continuously till it becomes thick and leaves sides of the kadahi. Add cardamom powder, almond and raisin.
- Mix well and transfer it to a greased tray, Spread it and cool. When it is cool, cut it into desired shape.
