DAAL BHATI


Ingredients for bhati:
  • Wheat flour 2 cups
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Ajwen half tsp
  • Oil 1/3 cup
Method: 
  • Knead into a hard dough with all this. Make in to small balls and keep it for 10 mins. Then bake in a pre heated oven for 40 mins until done. It will crack from center. Then dip each ball in hot melted ghee and keep aside. Serve with daal to be dipped in daal and eaten.

Ingredients for daal:

  • Moong ki daal quarter cup
  • Masoor ki daal quarter cup
  • Channay ki daal quarter cup
  • Maash ki daal quarter cup
  • Tuar ki daal quarter cup
  • Salt half tsp
Ingredients for baghaar:
  • Garlic crushed 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Curry patta 15
  • Ghee half cup
  • Tomatoes 3 sliced
  • Half tsp turmeric
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 4 chopped
Method for daal: 
  • Soak daals for 30 mins. Put all the daals in a pan with salt and 2 cups water. Cook till done. And well mixed.
Method for baghaar: 
  • In a pan heat ghee, add cumin seeds curry leaves with sliced tomatoes chili powder 1 tsp and turmeric. Fry masala well until tomatoes tender. Add green chilies. Add this to the daal. Mix well. Cook for 10 mins. Remove from fire. Add in chopped coriander leaves 2 to 3 tbsp.
