CHICKEN DIL BAHAR


Ingredients:
  • Butter 2 oz.
  • Chicken (Boneless, cubed) ½ kg
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Mixed Whole Spices 1 tbsp
  • Bay Leaf 1
  • Onion (Grated) 2
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Cumin (Roasted, ground) 1 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Black Pepper ½ tsp
  • Green chilies (Chopped) 6
  • Yogurt ½ cup
  • Tomato Puree 3 tbsp
  • Cashews (Ground) 10
  • Khoya 2 tbsp
  • Cream 3 tbsp
  • Allspice Powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves (Chopped) 2 tbsp
Method:
  • Heat butter and oil.To it, add the chicken and fry for 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan. In the same pan, oil add whole spices, bay leaf and onion. Fry till light brown. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 minutes. Add green chilies and seasonings along with yogurt, tomato puree and cashew paste. Fry well. Add 1 cup of water and cook till gravy thickens. Add the cooked chicken, khoya, cream and allspice powder. Leave it to simmer for 5 minutes. Lastly, add coriander leaves and serve with naan or paratha.
