CHICKEN DIL BAHAR
Ingredients:
- Butter 2 oz.
- Chicken (Boneless, cubed) ½ kg
- Oil ¼ cup
- Mixed Whole Spices 1 tbsp
- Bay Leaf 1
- Onion (Grated) 2
- Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
- Cumin (Roasted, ground) 1 tsp
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Black Pepper ½ tsp
- Green chilies (Chopped) 6
- Yogurt ½ cup
- Tomato Puree 3 tbsp
- Cashews (Ground) 10
- Khoya 2 tbsp
- Cream 3 tbsp
- Allspice Powder ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves (Chopped) 2 tbsp
- Heat butter and oil.To it, add the chicken and fry for 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan. In the same pan, oil add whole spices, bay leaf and onion. Fry till light brown. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 minutes. Add green chilies and seasonings along with yogurt, tomato puree and cashew paste. Fry well. Add 1 cup of water and cook till gravy thickens. Add the cooked chicken, khoya, cream and allspice powder. Leave it to simmer for 5 minutes. Lastly, add coriander leaves and serve with naan or paratha.
