Phool Chicken
Ingredients
- Chicken leg piece ½ kg
- Oil 3 – 4 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Onion chopped 1 medium
- Ginger chopped 1 medium piece
- Garlic 3 – 4 cloves
- Dry red chilies 3 – 4
- Cinnamon 2 sticks
- Black cardamom 2 – 3
- Cloves ½ tsp
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- All spice powder ½ tsp
- Water ½ cup
- Salt to taste
- Tomatoes boiled 2 – 3
- Green chilies 2 – 3 big
- Almonds boiled 20 gm
- Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
- Cauliflower blanched 1
Method
- Heat 3-4 tbsp of oil in a pan and add 1 pinch finely chopped garlic, 3-4 minced garlic and fry until golden brown.Add ½ kg drumsticks and fry until golden.Now add 1tsp whole cumin, 2 sticks of cinnamon, 2-3 black cardamom, 1/2tsp cloves and salt as required.Now add 1chopped onion, 3-4 dried whole red chilies.Cook until the chicken becomes tender.Now add 1 chopped onion, 3-4 dried whole chilies,1/2tsp turmeric and 2-3 boiled and chopped tomatoes.Cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add ½ cup water cover and cook on a simmer.After 6-8 minutes uncover and add 2tbsp chopped coriander, 1-2 chopped green chilies, 20g boiled almonds and 1 cup boiled cauliflower florets .Mix well and serve.
