Mustard Chicken with Poppy Seed
Ingredients
- Chicken breast with skin ½ kg
- Butter 2 tbsp
- Mustard paste 3 tbsp
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Brown sugar 1 tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
- Pasta boiled ¼ packet
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
Method
- Cut each chicken breast into two. Marinate with 2 tbsp butter, 3 tbsp mustard paste, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp brown sugar, 1 tsp chili powder, salt to taste and 1 tsp crushed black pepper.Now put chicken pieces in an oven proof dish, bake in a preheated oven on 190 degrees for 15 – 20 minutes.Now sprinkle with 1 tbsp poppy seeds and again bake for 4 – 5 minutes.Separately boil ¼ packet pasta and keep aside.Remove chicken and keep the left over stock aside.In a wok put together boiled pasta and leftover stock, mix with a little salt.Remove pasta in a serving platter, top with baked chicken pieces and serve hot.
