Prawn Chili Masala
Ingredients
- ½ kg large prawns
- 1 chopped medium onion
- 3-4 chopped green chilies
- 5-6 green cardamoms
- 50 grams yogurt
- ½ cup water
- 25 grams ground pistachio
- ¼ bunch chopped coriander
- 1 medium piece of chopped ginger
- 4-5 chopped garlic
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground red chili
- ½ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp all spice powder
- 4 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Method
- Firstly, split large prawns in a pocket form.Now in a wok, heat oil to cook ginger and cloves of garlic in it.When they turn golden brown, add prawns and fry for 2-3 minutes. Once done, keep it aside. In the same oil, add green cardamoms and fry for few seconds.Now decrease the flame and add ground coriander, ground red chili powder, turmeric and all spice powder in it. Cover and let it cook for a while.
- Then add yogurt with water and cover to cook for a while.After 5-6 minutes, un cover and add ground almonds, green chilies and medium onion in it and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more.Lastly, mix in fried prawns and coriander in it and serve
