Egyptian Grilled Chicken


Ingredients
  • ½ kg chicken
  • 1 tsp ground red chilli
  • 1 tbsp tamarind paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp ground all spices
  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 2 tbsp juice of a lemon
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp yogurt
  • Coal as required
  • Salt to taste
Method
  • Firstly, cut chicken into half and with the help of knife, separate the joints and hammer them to press a bit.Now in a bowl, add ground red chilli, tamarind paste, garlic paste, butter, ground cumin, ground all psices, chopped coriander, juice of a lemon, peanut butter, honey, yogurt and salt in it and mix properly. Marinate chicken in this mixture well. 
  • Now on a griller with preheated coals, cook chicken on it from both sides until golden brown. Dish out on a platter and serve with rice or bread.
