Stuffed burger


Ingredients
  • Mince ½ kg
  • Salt 1 tsp leveled
  • Black pepper ¾ tsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp leveled
  • Mustard paste ½ tsp
  • Thyme powder ¼ tsp
  • Oregano powder ¼ tsp
  • Bread 1 large slice
  • Milk ¼ cup
  • Egg 1
  • Pizza sauce ¼ cup + ¼ cup
  • Cheese slices 4
  • Burger buns 4
  • Salad leaves as required
  • Mushrooms sliced 4
  • Olives chopped 4
  • Capsicum chopped into tiny cubes ½ cup
  • Tomato chopped into tiny cubes ½ cup seeds removed
Method
  • Marinate mince with salt, pepper, garlic paste, mustard paste, thyme, oregano, bread soaked in milk and egg, mix well. In another bowl mix ¼ cup pizza sauce, olives, mushrooms, chopped capsicum and tomatoes, make thin patties with the mince, put 1 tbsp vegetable mixture onto centre of mince patty , spread slightly.
  • Top with 3 remaining patties, press edges together firmly to seal, grill patties for 5 minutes, turn and cook for another 5 minutes,During the last minutes of cooking time, top each patties with cheese and 1 tsp of pizza sauce, place the sliced buns on the grill,cook till until cheese are melted and buns are toasted.
To serve
  • Serve on the sliced toasted buns with the lettuce leaves
