Chicken Balls with Spicy Sauce


Ingredients
  • Chicken mice ½ kg
  • Onion 1
  • Egg 1
  • Green chilies 4
  • Coriander leaves ¼ bunch
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
Ingredients for Spicy Sauce
  • Yogurt 125 gm
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Bread slice 4 – 5
  • Button red chilies 4 – 5
  • Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
  • Coriander chopped 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Shashlik Sticks as required
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste
Method
  • In chopper put together ½ kg chicken mince, 1 onion, ¼ bunch of coriander leaves, 4 green chilies, 1 tsp cumin powder, ½ tsp black pepper powder and salt to taste. Chopperize well. Add 1 egg and mix well.Remove the mixture in a bowl, make small balls.
  • Cut each bread slice into 4 squares and keep aside.Now thread 1 piece of bread in shashlik stick, thread a chicken ball and then again a bread piece. Repeat the same with 3 chicken balls and 4 bread pieces such as starting with bread piece and end with a bread piece.
  • Heat oil in a wok, add 1 tbsp chopped ginger and 1 chopped onion. Fry till onion soft.Add 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 4 – 5 button red chilies and salt to taste. Fry for 1 – 2 minutes.
  • Now add 125 gm yogurt, fry for 2 – 3 minutes till sauce thickens. Turn the flame off.Now heat oil in a wok, deep fry prepared sticks till golden brown.Remove in a platter, top with prepared sauce and serve.
